Monday 31st August kicks off DUSA’s U Belong Week 2020. In the current climate, now more than ever we need a sense of belonging. We want all students to feel part of the DUSA community by celebrating inclusiveness and diversity.
During U Belong Week, we have a jam-packed week of activities and events. Keep an eye on our socials for our ‘Pin Your Positivity’ boards with loads of inspirational quotes to lift your spirits and give you those warm fuzzy feels. We’ll also be showcasing our very own ‘Humans of DUSA’ blog, where we will share some special life stories from a diverse range of DUSA members and staff.
On Tuesday (1st September) we’re holding a free online Covid mask making session, so grab a cuppa and join us. This is your opportunity to socialise with other students, all while learning how to make yourself (or a loved one) a new fashionable face mask. All you need to do is bring along your mask making materials (click HERE for material list), the instructions list (click HERE for instructions list), and REGISTER via the link below.
On the Wednesday (2nd September), we’re holding a fun Social Session with some DUSA student leaders. Play some games, ask us questions, and chat about everything, from how you’re coping at the moment to what makes you laugh, to what belonging means to you? All you need to do is bring yourself and REGISTER via the link below.
Finally on Thursday (3rd September) we’re holding a Sports Trivia Night! Think you know sport? Do you know the difference between juice and deuce? We’re welcoming all students of all sporting abilities to join in the fun and to test their sports trivia knowledge. Hosted by Deakin Sport Ambassador Jake Porter, the session will be fun, friendly and competition fierce. Can you take home the sports trivia gold? Come and give it a try, all you need to do is REGISTER via the link below.
So make sure to mark U Belong Week in your calendars guys, and join in on all the fun!
