When we wonder about wellness, we think about the environment, our physical being and our mental state, but many of us skip spirituality, which when reflected upon, is the overall purpose of us as a person!
Although spiritually can be a little confusing, awakening this part of ourselves is an adventure like no other that begins with YOU. Here are some small ways you can become a more spiritual individual in your everyday life.
Known to improve your flexibility, perfect your posture and heal those aches and pains, yoga increases your blood flow to aid circulation and encourage immense relaxation. Through upping your heart rate into the aerobic range, yoga gives you a full body relaxation and encourages mindful breathing techniques. Increase those serotonin levels by searching any yoga tutorial on YouTube! Put aside 45 minutes to 1 hour throughout the day and let the benefits speak for themselves.
Practice Positive Affirmations
Being a self-fulfilling prophecy, a positive affirmation is an easy way to change and rephrase the way you look at the world. Training yourself to see things more positively, have a positive reaction to things and thinking positively will encourage you to live a more loving and open life. This can be as simple as following a positive quote Instagram and reading an affirmation as soon as you wake up! Meditation is an opportunity for deep relaxation and allows you to declutter and live a clear and free-thinking life. Not only does meditation relieve stress, it allows the body to tune out the noises within your everyday life. Similar to both yoga and the affirmations, put aside 10-15 minutes per day to meditate and allow the sounds and experience to heal your body, mind and of course, spirit.
