Club Event of the Month – September

We are happy to announce the winner of DUSA’s Club Event of the Month for September!

Congratulations to Deakin Vietnamese International Students of Geelong (DVISG) for their Mid-Autumn Festival 2024: Children for Children event!

This event was planned as a collaboration between DVISG, Vietnamese People of Geelong, The International Student Lounge, Study Geelong, and Study Melbourne. Over 350 participants from various cultural backgrounds and age groups came together to celebrate cultural diversity and inclusiveness in the community.

Indian dancing, Japanese drumming, Chinese lion dancing, stand-up comedy from a Pakistani friend, and Vietnamese food and melodies were just some of the many highlights. Additionally, 100% of the funds raised (over $500) will go to UNICEF to assist children recently affected by typhoon Yagi in Vietnam.
