Club Event of the Month - August

We are happy to announce the winner of DUSA’s Club Event of the Month for August!

Congratulations to Deakin Fashion and Culture Society (DFCS) from Burwood for their 'Clothes Swap' event. The event was planned as a way of showcasing how Deakin students stay ahead of trends by embracing sustainability as the new cool. Held in the Student Central Atrium, the event brought together fashion enthusiasts who donated their pre-loved items, giving others a chance to discover new wardrobe favourites in an eco-friendly way. Donating participants received tokens that allowed them to take unlimited clothes, making the swap both generous and exciting.

The event was a great success, with a steady stream of participants and only ten minutes of downtime during the entire event. As well as promoting conscious consumerism, the club gained many more Instagram followers and DFCS memberships. Well done to everyone involved!
