Our foodie, Akshay, will be holding a virtual cooking workshop for you to learn more about indian food culture and cook a new dish! Learn more about Akshay and his upcoming workshop:
What are you studying : Masters in Professional Accounting and Finance
Why did you design this workshop?
This workshop has caught my attention because I have a genuine passion towards cooking. The Virtual leadership program will also help me engage collaboratively with other students to support commencing and existing Deakin students with their social and academic transition to study in the times of COVID.
What are you most looking forward to on running this workshop?
I am looking forward to meeting all the students and engaging with them.
Why should people sign up for this workshop?
Indian food has a wide variety of dishes, which have great texture and flavours in the food. India is one of the greatest exporters of spices: almost 70% of the world’s spices are from India. I would like to share great insights about Indian food and teach one of the famous dishes of India, its history and one of the flavourful foods India has. I am a food lover and I started cooking when I was 8 years old. I have lots of experience in cooking and will make the workshop fun and exciting.
What do you love most about DUSA?
DUSA conducts great programs that will help students in their personal development and improve their soft skills. I think DUSA is always been helping students, and conducting these programs will help students build confidence to tackle real life situations. I have been a member of DUSA for one year and I have taken the most out of it. DUSA has an amazing group of mentors and they are building on these programs to help students.
