Designed for TAFES and Universities that require increased flexibility in the delivery of training for their students, this course teaches tertiary students how to assist a fellow student who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. However course participants will learn mental health first aid skills that can be applied to help any adult. This course provides participants with the skills to recognize common mental health problems, knowledge of possible causes or risk factors and an awareness of treatments available. This course is delivered as blended training where you will complete part of the course online and 1/2 day in class.
