Deakin Volunteering Hub Burwood (DVH)

Burwood

The Deakin Volunteering Hub is dedicated to fostering a vibrant culture of service, engagement, and community connection. By collaborating with organisations (such as AMES, Edgar’s Mission, DeakinTalent, Lifeblood, etc), we provide students with unique opportunities to contribute meaningfully to their communities while developing vital skills for their personal and professional growth.

Our mission is to empower students to make a positive impact through acts of service, creating a bridge between Deakin University students and the wider community. By volunteering, students not only give back but also cultivate empathy, responsibility, and leadership skills that prepare them for future challenges. Whether it’s assisting refugees, supporting animal welfare, donating blood, or participating in career-enhancing initiatives, the Hub offers diverse opportunities tailored to various passions and interests.

Through our events, students engage in real-world experiences that encourage collaboration, cultural understanding, and moral development. The Hub also helps students build lasting connections within and outside Deakin, fostering an inclusive environment that values the power of service in bettering communities. Together, we aim to create a legacy of meaningful impact, growth, and shared purpose.
