Hi everyone!
I'm Sharon, your Vice-President of Welfare for 2025, and I’m thrilled to step into this role! For those who don’t know me, I’ve been actively involved with Deakin's community life over the years. I served as the Clubs and Societies Representative in 2023 and as a Student Councillor in 2024, and I’m incredibly passionate about fostering a supportive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all students.
My journey with DUSA has been a meaningful one. Working closely with our fantastic clubs has shown me how vital they are to campus life, and this year, I’m eager to continue building on that by focusing on your wellbeing. I believe that a vibrant campus community is built on connections, support, and a sense of belonging, and that’s exactly what I aim to bring to the table in my new role.
When I’m not on campus, you’ll probably find me enjoying a good book, jamming out with friends, or finding new ways to combine my love for criminology and animal biology. If you see me around, don’t hesitate to stop and have a chat—I’m always up for a friendly conversation, and I’d love to hear your ideas and thoughts on how we can make Deakin the best it can be.
Let’s make 2025 a fantastic year together!
