Hi my name is Mae Bell

Hi! My name is Mae, and I am excited to be one of DUSA’s student council members. Based in beautiful Geelong, I am currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce – majoring in Human Resource Management.

Serving as the Women’s Representative for DUSA in Geelong for the past 6 months, and growing up around strong women and individuals who always voiced their opinions and sort to do right in the community, I am committed and focused on advocating, facilitating and supporting student voices and rights.

I strongly believe that it is everyone’s right to be surrounded by an environment that is inclusive, diverse, supportive and focused on the needs of individuals. As a Geelong student I split my time between Waurn Ponds and Waterfront, and I am committed to fostering conversations and initiatives that are focused on those who are in Geelong.

If I am not at the library with my glasses on my head sipping on multiple cups of tea at once, you can always find me going for walks with friends – where yapping is the number one thing on the agenda.

I am always up for a friendly conversation, so if you see me around campus please don’t hesitate to say hi and let me know how we can make your time at Deakin the best it can be!
