O'Week is a time for new students to make new friends, have fun and receive essential information on student services. O'Week provides a variety of opportunities for you to promote your business to the student population by providing produce or sponsorship.
This is a week that carries on from O-Week in terms of the re-orientation of existing students and students who are starting mid-year into life at university. Dis O'Week is usually marked by social events and second semester enrolments.
There is a large community of international students studying at Deakin University. Each year DUSA celebrates these different cultures at Multicultural Day with food and entertainment from around the globe.

DUSA runs balls on every campus. They always prove to be great social occasions. The Burwood campus balls include the Mid Year and the End of Year Cross-Campus Ball. The Geelong Waterfront and Waurn Ponds campuses have an Annual Ball in Semester 2. The Warrnambool campus has a major event each year.
DUSA has a strong Intervarsity Sporting history from Region to International representation, from Games to Championship events. DUSA provides all students of Deakin University with the opportunity to participate in campus, intervarsity and community sporting activities.
The Postgraduate Conference is a prestigious event held over two days every year, featuring professors and postgraduate students as well as outside speakers who engage in academic debate on higher education issues. Highlights include jazz bands, wine and cheese tasting, awards and prizes for excellence in supervision, teaching and postgraduate student support.
DUSA provides Students with a free breakfast on all campuses during Exam weeks. Sponsors can participate by providing breakfast food items such as breakfast bars, pre-packaged fruit juices, yoghurts etc.
DUSA runs many types of promotional activities for its Members such as Bar nights, Mystery Tours, Comedy nights and Band nights that sponsors can participate in. Alternatively, your company may have a product or service it would like to promote and we can create other opportunities for this.
