2010 Adventure Trips!

very year, the team at DUSA put together a calendar of fun and friendly trips and tours for all students. These trips are available to both members and non members and you can even bring your friends!

Members receive a discount on the cost of all trips. The full program for trimester 2 2010 trips both campus based and university wide is listed below and includes favourites such as our Mt Buller Ski Day Trip and the 6 day Mt Hotham Ski Trip to mention a couple.

All bookings for trips can be made at the DUSA offices in Burwood, Geelong or Warrnambool. For trip information you can contact Lindy Masterson in Burwood, Marty Stewart in Geelong or Robyn Starick in Warrnambool.

Cross Campus Trips 2010

Mt Hotham Ski Week

This popular trip is back in 2010 and if you want to go you had better be quick because it books out in record time.  On this trip you will have the opportunity to ski/board for 5 full days with accommodation being in the heart of the village at the Hotham Arlberg.  Ski from the front door to your favourite run!

  • Dates: Sunday 1 - Friday 6 August
  • DUSA Access Member: $970
  • All Others: $1,170
  • Includes:  return coach transport, resort entry,  5 nights shared accommodation at Arlberg Mt Hotham,  5 x cooked breakfasts and dinners, 5 day tertiary lift and lesson package
  • Not Included:  Ski/Board hire ($105 for 5 days payable on the mountain

Waurn Ponds / Waterfront Trips and Tours - Trimester 2 2010

Ski Day Trip - Mt Buller

This one day trip to Mt Buller caters for skiers, boarders and anybody who just wants to check out the scenery and snow at beautiful Mt Buller in the Victorian Alps. An early start guarantees a full day on the slope and with tertiary lift passes being half price on Tuesdays, this is the cheapest days skiing or boarding around!

  • Tuesday 24 August
  • 4am - 10pm
  • Access Member: $115    Access Member Non Skier: $60
  • All Others: $135            All Others Non Skier: $70
  • Includes:  all transport, mountain entry, lift & lesson ticket *need to produce student I.D card for tertiary rate.
  • *Not Included: ski/board hire approx. $35 for day

Horseback Trail Ride

This is a relaxing 2 hour ride in the state forest between Torquay and Anglesea.  Catering for all levels of riders, our guides from Spring Creek Trail Rides will ensure you have a safe, enjoyable experience and will match you with horses suited to your ability.  Riders that want to pick up the pace will have plenty of opportunity!

  • Includes: return transport, 2 hour trail ride with instructor, helmet/safety gear

Winery Tour – Bellarine Peninsula

This is a very laid back trip to the picturesque Bellarine Peninsula visiting two established local wineries with time to sample plenty of fine wine. We then stop for an hour by the water in Portarlington for lunch (own expense) before travelling to the magnificent Pettavel winery in Moriac to finish the tour.

  • Includes: all transport, tours and wine making information for 3 wineries (*participants must bring $15 with them on the day to cover tasting fees)

Paintball Shootout

This is a great fun day at 'World Series Paintball' paintball range near Little River.  With four separate playing fields all with different themes/terrain, you will have a blast in these simulated 'shoot outs' with top of the range equipment over a four hour period.

Healesville Sanctuary - SOLD OUT!!!

One of Australia's most acclaimed wildlife sanctuaries. With more than 200 species of Australian wildlife, this close up, hands on experience is a must for all students.

Ten Pin Bowling- Warrnambool

Join up for a night of fun and easy entertainment. Two games of bowls for only the price of $6. There is no excuse to join up!
