Red Shirts are an ongoing volunteer program, where volunteers can help out their Student Association and also have a lot of fun at the same time.Red Shirts help out with activities, events, O'Week,campaigns, sport you can pretty much help out with all aspects of DUSA. Meet new people, have some fun and get involved. Why become a Red Shirt?

Being a Red shirt is extremely rewarding. We can guarantee you will have a great time also. Of course there will be lots of jobs that need to be done, but there will also be plenty of opportunity for you to meet new people and let your hair down at DUSA and Red Shirts social events.

How do I become a Red Shirt?

Any student studying at Deakin University can sign up as a Red Shirt. DUSA encourages all students to apply, especially those that are active in university life. Enthusiasm, being approachable and a willingness to help out and be involved are essential qualities of every Red shirt. Sign up to be a Red Shirt online now:

Throughout the year applications are sought for Red Shirt positions. Complete an online Red Shirt application form or come to any of the DUSA offices to fill out a form. When you submit the form, it will be sent to a DUSA Staff Member and you'll hear back from them in due course. They will advise you on the roles and responsibilities and how to get involved.
